Conscientious Objection In The Neonatal Ward

A UK doctor testifies he euthanized (murdered) ten kids.

One doctor has admitted starving and dehydrating ten babies to death in the neonatal unit of one hospital alone.
Writing in a leading medical journal, the physician revealed the process can take an average of ten days during which a  baby becomes ‘smaller and shrunken’.
The LCP – on which 130,000 elderly and terminally-ill adult patients die each year – is now the subject of an independent inquiry ordered by ministers.

Now as one who fasts a couple of times a year for a week, I can tell you after the second day or so no food is not problem.  There is no physical distress after a few days. I actually regret my obligation to begin eating again after the week.  But on the other hand,  dehydration is extremely painful.  You have no idea.  But dehydration is how they kill these kids, which is on average ten days of excruciating pain.

‘I witnessed a 14 year-old boy with cancer die with his tongue stuck to the roof of his mouth when doctors refused to give him liquids by tube. His death was agonising for him, and for us nurses to watch. This is euthanasia by the backdoor.’

O, the poor nurse.  But watch she did. The state trains the nurses, and gets the ones it wants, nurses devoid of conscience. Now no one will be prosecuted for murder.  What will happen is we'll just kill the targeted faster.  There is no rational bounds on indecency with the state.  This is what you get with Romney/Obamacare.  Why are there no conscientious objectors in USA medicine?

Conscientious Objection in School

A school has introduced solitary confinement for students.  Why has no professional associated with the school said, "no, this is wrong."

Perhaps they ought to change the name of the school to Nurse Ratchet Elementary.  I am not surprised to see "professionals" defending this practice.  States are defined as essentially the entity with a monopoly on violence in a given territory.  Professionals who get licensed by the state necessarily agree with the definition and with the inevitable results. If we had a separation of education and state, we'd have as many schools as restaurants, many catering to "troubled kids."  Far better results with far less cost. But then, no professionals.

Why Is Petraeus Not In Prison?

Look at this young soldier who fought for America, or at least that is what he was told.

The military is debating whether to prosecute soldiers who attempt suicide.    Well, that I suppose is one way to try to crack down on the activity.  Another would be to stop lying to young men that they are defending America in these optional, elective wars for oil.

Last year, the 301 known military suicides accounted for 20 percent of U.S. military deaths. From 2001 to August 2012, the U.S. military counted 2,676 suicides.

Here is the general he served, pinning the second highest military award on Ms. Kelley for services rendered the services.

Here is the same general, with another army officer, married to another, a graduate of West Point.

Read more here:

He admitted to adultery with this other officer.  There are other officers in prison for precisely what these two have done.  Why are these two officers not in prison?  The fact that they are not heading to prison guarantees that we'll see more of this.  Just like when Americal Division officers were not prosecuted for My Lai, we've continuing USA war crimes.

Congress confirms who gets to become generals.  This is the fault of congress. We expect our generals to have scruples.  The top military brass must have thought we said screwpals.

Pretend wars are fun because they are safe.  Except for the soldiers.  Another good general, whose name rhymes with Petraeus, lost 2/3rds of his soldiers at Stalingrad.  Then Paulus surrendered.  He would not commit suicide because it was a sin. Of his 100,000 surviving soldiers, less than 5,000 made it back home to Germany after the war.  But 23 of the 24 German generals who surrendered made it back home after the war. The generals lived in style. Professional courtesy among professional soldiers.

This is what we get with a standing "professional" army.  When we get rid of that in USA, and get down to only citizen defense, we'll be far safer, like the Swiss during WWII.

At What Age To Start Aikido?

An eMail comes in:
John, at what age do you think a child can reasonably start to learn Aikido?
The first time he is bullied.  The bully lives a false dilemma.  Abuse or be abused.  If you defeat a bully, it just confirms what he always knew, bully or be bullied.   If the bully is defeated, he then goes and reaffirms the known boundaries:  he beats up his wife and kids.  All is well in the world.  If the bully wins a fight, it is just proof that is how the world works. With aikido, the bully neither wins or loses.  Nothing happens.  No bullying, no bully, no bullied.  It is paradigm shattering.  The bully wonders: "You mean there is an alternative to bully or be bullied?"

No one hates bullying more than the bullies, but there is no means to reclaim them, except through showing them there is an alternative universe to the one they inherited.

Anti-bullying campaigns make sure bullying stays with us. Bullies just get more subtle, and the schools then don't have to deal with it.  Let bullying erupt, and then the adults should step in, and teach a conscientious objection to the activity.

Are schools overwhelmed with bullying?  Then rethink schools.  Education is normally an intergenerational thing.  Throwing kids of an age together is to create a Lord of the Flies situation.

But there will always be bullying, more or less.  Aikido is a martial art that does not strive for victory with aggression.  The time to start is when they are targeted by bullies.

It's that turn the other cheek thing, with what I suspect was it's original form, a sense of "game on."

Blessed Are the Peacemakers

Israelis of good will were negotiating a cease fire and peace accommodation, independent of the Israeli government.  Then the Israeli government killed the leader of the Hamas side.

Now Israel and Palestine are exchanging missiles.

Repeated unsuccessful assassination attempts by Allied Forces led Hitler to believe he was personally invincible.  His handpicked successor, Rudolf Hess, flew to England at risk of his own life to personally appeal to Churchill to avoid war.  Churchill would not meet, and went to the movies instead.

Admiral Canaris, the head of Germany's military intelligence, tried to work out a overthrow of Hitler, if given some Allied guarantees.  None were forthcoming.  Canaris was exposed and tortured to death.

A just war means you must try all means to avoid war.    We get the exact opposite.

Kill their Four Year Olds Before They Kill Ours

Note how Joe Klein says it all depends on which politician is doing he killing.  Drone killing is a violation of just war, in a war that is a violation of just cause.  As long as the free stuff keeps flowing, who cares?

Important Speeches

When young politicians on the make give an "important speech" ignore the blather and look for the code.  In his big important speech, Clinton cited a college teacher as a big influence.  Easy to skip that, it sounds like just some campaign props to pick up the teacher vote.  Ron Paul points out it is otherwise.

We Are All African American Now

Last night at SFO, where all lines feed through the Rapescan, I as I have done before say I loudly and clearly, " I will not go through that machine"

"Male opt out!"  and  "Please stand there."

"I will not stand there because I cannot see my bags."

"umm...ok...stand where you can see your bags."

The from behind me, "I will not go through that machine..."

"Umm... ok  "Male opt on two."

And then another... "I will not go through that machine..."

"Make opt out on three!"

I got a triple!

Anyway, my ticket to where I want to go in TSA is in relation to my bags.

"Those bags are not leaving my sight!"

"Um... ok..."

TSA folds when you demand to keep your bags in sight.  Remember what Alinsky pointed out, just follow their rules.  Assiduously.

AS I am being "stopped and frisked" I assume the attitude of ennui I saw in so many people of some African heritage over the years on the streets of USA, who were being harassed for no reason whatsoever.    I never said anything then, so what goes around comes around.  We are all of African heritage now in USA.
